CHASTE provides training for those engaged in trafficking for sexual exploitation. We have provided training for:
- Immigration Reception Centre Chaplains
- Prison Chaplains
- Church Ministers and laity
- Safe House staff
- Police Officers
- Immigration Officers

CHASTE is organizing the following training session on Dec11, 2007
Training for CHAPLAINS and Welfare Staff on, 'First responder training in Trafficked victim identification and care', on Dec 11, 2007 from 9:30 am – 4:30 pm at ' The Salvation Army International Headquarters', 101 Queens Victoria Street, London, EC4V 4EH.
The conference is being organized,
- To identify early indications of a trafficked person and their subsequent needs
- To look at practical assistance which can be immediately offered for victims of trafficking and the management of the subsequent referral processes
- To understand the psychological and confidentiality needs surrounding survivor care and how to build a supportive pastoral practice.
- To inform on wider health care and legal considerations and potential support
- To outline the role of the UK Human Trafficking Centre, the Police and Border and Immigration Control
- To build our support network as careers in order to avoid “burn-out”, protective indifference, and deal effectively with secondary trauma.
The conference will use a range of media to deliver training including film, panel discussion, simulation work shops and training inputs from experts in this highly complex field. Representatives from the law, from therapeutic counseling, chaplaincy management, Border and Immigration control, Health care and the Police will be present on the day alongside CHASTE safe house support training staff, Ms Bobi Nenadic, CHASTE housing liaison officer.
Advocates
CHASTE wishes to build up a network of volunteer Advocates within the Church who are trained to speak on behalf of CHASTE at events and church services. This may involve running workshops.
